Brisbane’s floods wiped $15 million from Ampol’s earnings for the March quarter, but its Lytton refinery has been revived from near closure to a money spinner.
Ampol will be getting up to $108 million a year in taxpayer subsidies to keep the Lytton fuel refinery open and up to 550 workers employed – for now.
