Workshop on employment disputes, disagreements

On the back of 2020, it is more important than ever for businesses great and small to understand the dynamics of employee-employer relationships.

The workforce did it tough in 2020.

Employees were unsure or unaware of what they were entitled to and employers were exposed to liability and unexpected claims they were unprepared for.

These are issues impacting small businesses harder than most during this time.

It has, however, provided a much needed opportunity for people to proactively understand the risks and consequences involved when employer-employee relationships go poorly.

Join Jonathon Hadley, Partner at Gadens, who brings over 18 years of industry experience dealing with unfair dismissals, employment contract policies, employment and labour counselling as he brings you a workshop targeted at preventing and solving disagreements and disputes in the workplace.

For many employers, it has been difficult to keep pace with the frequent and ongoing variations to Australian employment laws since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.

The event is hosted by Brisbane Business Hub, a Brisbane City Council initiative spearheaded by Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner to bolster the local business community through the trials of COVID-19.

“This seminar will explore the practical implications of the current employment law regime for medium to large enterprises, with a focused discussion on JobKeeper disputes, and will help organisations prepare for what looks to be an uncertain future ahead,” Jonathon said.
