The music of composers like Mozart, Puccini and Verdi resonates with songs by artists such as Slim Dusty and Dolly Parton in a cabaret-style touring production that plays over 23 Queensland communities in May and June 2021.

The tour demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to audiences in regional Queensland, covering 6000km across the length and breadth of our state, the most significant regional tour in the company’s 40-year history.

The bold new production is also featured in Opera Queensland’s ambitious new multi-region Festival of Outback Opera, bringing opera to communities in Longreach, Winton, Barcaldine, Blackall and Windorah in late-May 2021.

The inaugural Festival, funded under the Year of Outback Tourism Events Program, begins with Singing in the Night, a series of concerts in Longreach and Winton presented in partnership with Camerata, Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra.
