Chisholm: Clear message versus a scare campaign

With just two days to go before the election, we are seeing the final messages from both leaders.

Labor has one message that Anthony Albanese can talk about no matter where he is in the country, about our plan for a better future for all Australians.

On the other hand, Scott Morrison is limited in his message and constrained in the seats he can campaign in.

He can’t visit any of the seats close to the CBD across any of the Eastern seaboard states that are under siege from Labor and the Independents.

This is what you get when you have a leader who has an excuse for everything and a plan for nothing.

Scott Morrison doesn’t have a single message for all of Queensland.

On the other hand, Anthony Albanese has been able to travel the length and breadth of the State, he can campaign in Central Queensland, in the suburban seats and the inner-city and has been spearheading Labor’s message of a better future across Queensland.

The LNP don’t have a unifying message nor a unified campaign.

Over the last three years, we have seen that with the constant infighting and navel-gazing from the LNP.

Australians are sick of it, I have heard this message consistently throughout Queensland, whether it be in Central Queensland, the suburbs or the inner-city, people are sick of Scott Morrison, they are sick of his lies and excuses.

In the campaign we have seen the LNP Member for Capricornia and the LNP Member for Maranoa tell Senator Matt Canavan to pull his head in over his scare campaign.

If the LNP were to fall across the line, nothing would change, the chaos and dysfunction would be back.

Australians deserve a government that is unified with a plan for a better future, one that will rebuild manufacturing, tackle climate change and create the jobs that go with it, one that will fix the GP crisis and has a plan to tackle insecure work and get wages growing again.

Only a vote for Labor on Saturday will remove Scott Morrison and elect an Anthony Albanese Labor Government that will deliver a plan for a better future for Australia.
