Car park stabbing: Man dies after being attacked on suburban street

A man has been stabbed to death in a car park outside a gym in Brisbane’s eastern suburbs with police investigating the attack.

Police found the man in the carpark on the busy intersection of Pine Mountain and Creek roads at Mansfield, after being called about 1pm.

“He was located with serious injuries and police are conducting investigations into what has occurred,” a Queensland Police Service spokesperson told AAP.

The man was in a life-threatening condition with Queensland Ambulance Service’s critical care and high acuity response paramedics treating him.

However, he died at the scene despite frantic efforts by paramedics.

Witnesses saw multiple people fleeing the scene in a car, Nine News reported.

There were reports the stabbing was sparked by a road rage incident.
