Playground to the podium: Talent scouts search for 2032 Olympians
Queensland has launched the State’s biggest ever talent search to identify athletes who will be ready to compete at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.

Dubbed “You for 2032”, the program, launched by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, aims to get sports talents identified and in training.
“What we are doing here is a 10-year training camp, from the playground to the podium,” Palaszczuk said.
“We are launching the largest ever talent search that this State has ever seen.”
Palaszczuk’s call out for potential sporting super stars of the future came at the opening of a new $10 million gymnasium and sports science laboratory at the Queensland Academy of Sport.
She said the search for talent began now and that 50,000 budding Olympians could sign up for expressions of interest in April.
She said the new facility was an extraordinary centre which combines training with a wholistic approach.
“We want you, We want you for 2032,” Palaszczuk said to prospective young sports people.
