Police allege Senior Constable Luke Zannier was deliberately struck by the driver of a stolen Mercedes while conducting speed checks in the city’s south on Wednesday morning.

Bodycam video is said to show him stepping onto Orange Grove Road in Salisbury to flag down the car about 6.30am before it veers towards him.

The injured officer had been discharged from hospital and was now at home, Queensland Police said on Sunday.

The 19-year-old man was charged with one count each of attempted murder, unlawful use of a vehicle, the dangerous operation of a vehicle, failure to stop or to remain at the scene of an incident and disqualified driving.
