Two passengers in the back of the ambulance died at the scene while the vehicle’s driver and two additional passengers were hospitalised in a stable condition.

Two of the ambulance’s passengers, aged 87 and 65, died at the scene.

The 41-year-old truck driver was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious condition.

Two other occupants of the ambulance were taken to hospital in a stable condition.
