Man and woman found dead in Gold Coast apartment

The bodies of a man and a woman  have been found in a unit at Labrador on the Gold Coast.

The 53-year-old man’s body was found at the Sapphire at the Broadwater building in Labrador about 10.20am on Friday.

Officers who arrived on the scene then found another person’s body, believed to be that of a woman, in the same unit about 11.20am.

Police say they are treating the deaths as suspicious.

Police say the discovery of the body of a 48-year-old woman at the unit prompted a crime scene to be declared shortly later, the ABC reports.

Police have told the ABC the man’s death was “sudden” and the woman’s death was “suspicious”.
