Four on attempted murder charges over Brisbane stabbing

Four men have been charged with attempted murder following an alleged assault on a teenage boy in Brisbane.

Police responded to a disturbance between a 16-year-old boy and four other people on Queen Street in the CBD about 10.30pm on Friday.

The boy had been punched and sustained puncture wounds to his torso and back.

He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.

On Sunday, an 18-year-old Underwood man, 18-year-old Heathwood man, 19-year-old Runcorn man and a 19-year-old man from Kuraby were charged with one count each of attempted murder, armed robbery, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and going armed so as to cause fear.

The four will all appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
