Police uncover $1m marijuana plantation south of Brisbane

A man has been charged after police uncovered hundreds of cannabis plants in a shed and bushland at a property south of Brisbane.

Officers seized 369 plants with an estimated street value of $920,000 at the Yatala home on July 1.

A 59-year-old man has been charged with one count each of producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing items used in connection of a drug offence.

He’s due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on September 16.
