The three-week celebration commenced with Jumoo, a special smoking ceremony that signified a fresh and peaceful start to Brisbane Festival while honouring and paying respect to the city’s First People.

Following the ceremony, as the smoke cleared, guests enjoyed the first of many Sunsuper Night Sky laser and light experiences and a surprise pop-up Street Serenade performance by Troy Cassar-Daley.

Brisbane Festival will continue to fill the city with music, art and excitement until Saturday, September 26.
