In the spotlight: State’s stage stars shine at Matilda Awards

A who’s who of Queensland’s performing arts community turned out for the 2019 Matilda Awards on Monday night, where Shake & Stir Theatre Company took home the Gold Matilda, stage adaptations of classic stories scooped the awards pool and an original work dealing with women at war was named Best New Australian Work.
