Did anything good come out of 2021?

Lots of good things came out of 2021 for me on both a professional and personal level. My youngest daughter finished primary school and my eldest daughter got her first job. I navigated and delivered our first Covid safe event with our amazing team and spent time with family and friends. It was a fun albeit challenging year.

What’s your favourite summer memory?

Growing up my Dad owned the Iceworks in Mount Isa – a very popular item during summer in the outback. I spent my summers delivering ice with him in his HJ Holden ute.

Are you a summer or a winter person?

With my outback roots I would have to say I am a summer person!

How do you stay resilient during periods of change, like the year just gone?

I surround myself with good people, remain open and flexible in the way I look at situations and keep active by walking regularly. I may not always get it right, but I will always have a crack/go.

Who were your heroes of 2021?

My incredible team of staff, contractors, volunteers, sponsors and competitors who made the 2021 Mount Isa Mines Rodeo an outstanding success.

What’s your secret ambition?

To live and work in America with the Houston Rodeo

What’s your favourite holiday spot?

My girls and I enjoy cruising! We can’t wait to get back on board for our next adventure.

What are you hoping for in 2022?

Continued health, happiness and I am going to make a trip to the Granite Belt happen – I’ve been trying to get there since 2019!

What have you been watching on television/streaming services lately?

I am a Yellowstone tragic – I need a RIP in my life (can I say that, lol) and I am also enjoying the new Sex and the City …. And just like that.

Any people or businesses to watch in 2022?

Us!! The new Isa Rodeo Experience – Road to Rodeo Longreach to be held on the May day long weekend.
