Did anything good come out of 2020?

Queensland proved we had one of the best health systems in the world (I had already seen that working with our wonderful health staff).

What’s your favourite Christmas memory?

Being in my grandparents’ back yard with my cousins.

Are you a summer or a winter person?

Summer!

How do you stay resilient during periods of change, like the year just gone?

I try to make time with (children) Sam, Bridie and Aidan. Swimming, bike riding and UNO keep me grounded!

Who were your heroes of 2020?

The health staff of the world, especially Dr Jeannette Young but also those in places like the UK and USA who kept going to work even when it was dangerous.

Your secret ambition?

I’ve never managed to grow coriander for some reason.

Favourite holiday spot?

Cotton Tree Caravan Park

What are you hoping for this year?

I can’t wait to get my vaccine.

Hot Christmas dinner, or cold?

Some of both. Seafood and some traditional roasts.

People/businesses to watch in 2021?

I’m tipping the Broncos for a surprise comeback. But I am ever the optimist.
