Did anything good come out of 2020?

I think a lot of good came out of 2020. A pause, reset and an important time to re-evaluate how we do things and approach the world was a gift.

What’s your favourite Christmas memory?

Now that I have children, watching how they connect with the magic of Christmas is lovely and makes the day so special.

Are you a summer or a winter person?

Definitely summer. I love being at the beach, swimming and afternoon naps when on holidays. Summer feels more relaxed, maybe because it comes at the end of the year when we are all winding down.

How do you stay resilient during periods of change, like the year just gone?

I really relied on my creativity this year and the creativity and vision of artists helped with my resilience. Having the courage to rise above and try hard. Take the time out when needed, ready to face the challenges again.

Who were your heroes of 2020?

Artists of Brisbane. They dug deep, they reimagined and they delivered in spades!! They are the heroes of this time, providing hope and joy as well as critical moments to contemplate and reflect.

Your secret ambition?

To make sure I raise the best two humans I possibly can.

Favourite summer holiday spot?

Currumbin or Burleigh Heads! Just love it down the Southern Gold Coast.

What are you hoping for this year?

I hope for some certainty but that may not be possible. Certainty for the Brisbane Festival to realise the ambition of our vision. Certainty for my children and some consistency in their school year.

People/businesses to watch in 2021?

Great question but a hard question, I can’t think of one person to single out. For me, I am on the watch out for inspiring leadership, compassion and kindness. I have no doubt there are many people that will emerge and demonstrate these qualities making them someone to watch in 2021.
