Nestled in the vibrantly laid-back heart of Eumundi Village, HOLA is the Sunshine Coast’s newest unique boutique accommodation offering. Each room is consciously designed to spotlight and celebrate the talent of local artists, all while cocooning you in the soft embrace and warmth of Eumundi’s lush surrounds. If you’re craving the chance to recharge your batteries, get away with a loved one or book a much-needed girl’s weekend, HOLA should be at the top of your list.

Split over two buildings and boasting 15 uniquely curated rooms, HOLA exudes a unique mix of contemporary chic and natural beauty. The Sunshine Coast’s natural landscapes inspired the design of each room, which are all lovingly filled with a collection of artworks and creations from local artists.

A tropical courtyard and pavilion split the buildings, and the rooms have been designed to feature the timber furniture, natural linen soft furnishings, bamboo and cotton throws and a collection of original art pieces. To help guests disconnect from the everyday and reconnect with nature, you also have the option of a balcony room overlooking the treetops or a custom-designed window planter box filled with lush tropical greenery.

During a stay at HOLA, you will quickly learn to appreciate the love and respect given to local artists. The rooms and common spaces are dotted with original art pieces, paintings, ceramics, sculptures and installations. Each bathroom includes a locally handcrafted basin, artisan tiles and beautiful Leif products crafted with Australian native ingredients.

Look closer to appreciate the little additions, like hand-thrown diffusers, quirky ‘do not disturb’ signs and handmade ceramics on the benches. While wandering through the grounds, keep an eye out for the 45 original artworks, more than 100 individual ceramic pieces and 12 impressive sculptures, including the 100 individual ceramic birds that form the ‘Welcome Swallow Spirit Tree’ in the giant silky oak.

If you’re looking to treat yourself to a particularly luxe experience, upgrade to the HOLA suite. This opulent contemporary escape includes a separate lounge and dining area with large artisan barn doors that lead you to the bedroom and full-length balcony.

Bath lovers can make their bubbly dreams a reality, with the freestanding bathtub and shower space practically begging to be used. While the HOLA suite offers a next-level accommodation experience, you can rest assured that all other room options still capture the essence of a laid-back bohemian style while paying homage to natural surfaces and styling.

While we know the king-sized bed will be calling your name, it’s definitely worth dragging yourself out to explore the surroundings. HOLA’s unique location puts you in a prime position to indulge in an intimate long lunch at Bask, grab a bite to eat from the iconic Imperial Hotel, sip a tipple at the Eumundi Distillers and Eumundi Brewery, and browse for some artwork to take home with you at the world-famous Eumundi Markets. Outside of Eumundi, the Sunshine Coast is your oyster, beckoning you to hop in the car and take a roadtrip into the hinterland or coast.

Regardless of where you wander during the day, you can rest assured that the soft embrace of HOLA’s artful comfort will be waiting to grant you a moment of solitude and slumber.

With that in mind, the next time you’re craving a king-sized sleep and the opportunity to relax in nature while exploring local artisan wonders, why not book a stay at one of HOLA’s breathtaking rooms.
