The group has bought a 150ha site at Coochin Creek which is currently operated as a turf farm and a strawberry farm.

Director Rob Comiskey said the site was similar in size to the North Byron Parklands which hosts Splendour in the Grass and the Falls Festival.

“Just like our other entertainment facilities, we are looking at how we can make the offering at Coochin Fields as convenient as possible for our patrons,” Comiskey said.

He said the site would have “unique activations” and experiences that would push the boundaries of what people expected from a festival.

“Coochin Fields will operate as an amalgamation of what we have learnt from years of experience and our motivation to hit the ground running after the pandemic,” he said.

“We are ready to take things to the next level.”

Talks were underway with existing festivals that wanted to expand into Queensland.
