Appointments: Chung gets TechOne board promotion

TechnologyOne promotes its chief executive to the board, the boss of Australia Mines quits and the AMA gets new leadership in this week’s appointments.

TechOne promotes Chung

Technology One said its chief executive Edward Chung has been appointed to the board as managing director.

Chung had been chief executive since 2017.

Chair Pat O’Sullivan said Chung’s elevation was a natural progression given his strong leadership and performance since becoming CEO.

Aus Mines boss quits

The company behind the much-hyped Sconi project, Australian Mines, has revealed that its chief executive Michael Holmes had resigned “to pursue other interests”.

Aus Mines recently received a mining lease for the Sconi project.

It said Holmes would remain until October 13 and it would be seeking a replacement.

Rourke leaves AusIndustry

Adrienne Rourke announced that she had decided to “move on” from her role at AusIndustry.

Rourke is well known in the resources industry after worked as the general manager of the Resource Industry Network.

APA snares Somlyay

She was previously head of corporate relations and sustainable impact for Anglo American in Australia.

QA’s new executives

Queensland Airports said it had three new executive committee members join our team this year, Ben Daly – chief financial officer, chief property and planning officer Brian McGuckin, and chief strategy, sustainability and people officer Shannon McFadden.

The executive team now has seven members.

Turner signs up at Future Anything

Education group Future Anything has appointed Jarred Turner.

He was previously an associate at Teach for Australia and IMPACT president.

Future Anything founder Nicole Dyson said she was “super pumped” to have Turner on board.

Vald promotes Smith

Georgia Smith has been promoted at Brisbane based VALD to client support team lead.

Smith was previously tech support representative at VALD and before that was a group fitness instructor at TotalFusion.

AMA’s new council members

The Australian Medical Association’s Queensland branch has welcomed Associate Professor Paul Griffin, GP Dr Sandra Hirowatari and Dr Mikeala Syemour to its council.

Griffin would represent sull-time salaried medical practitioners, Hirowatari would be a GP representative and Seymour would represent the north.

Tactic gets growth

Matt Kratiuk has been appointed as chief growth officer at TACTIC.

Most recently he was brand ambassador for Vinnies Chief Executive Sleepout.

Lilly’s welcomes Miller

Food company Lilly’s Little Lunchbox has appointed former Genesis Care executive Michelle Miller to its team.

The company said Miller’s appointment would help as it expanded its therapeutic health and aged care business lines.

New GM for engineers

Toowoomba-based consulting engineers Kehoe Myers said it had recently farewelled Kylee Randall and welcomed a new general manager Jenny Rix.

Rix was a member of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce board and was previously the director and owner of language centre Bonjour Toowoomba.
