About 350 of industry’s leaders would attend the summit, including Tesla chair Robyn Denholm, (who also chairs the Tech Council), co-founder of Atlassian Scott Farquhar, Google Australia managing director Mel Silva, TechnologyOne boss Ed Chung and Go1 co-founder Vu Tran.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Treasurer Jim Chalmers would also be speaking at the summit.

Tech Council Australia chief executive Kate Pounder said that the summit would be a real opportunity to supercharge the tech sector right around the country, including in the Sunshine State.

“We have a world-class list of speakers lining up to come to Brisbane to provide vision and leadership on how to light a spark in our vibrant tech ecosystem and boost growth in our sector,” she said.

“We’re proud to host this conference in Queensland as Brisbane emerges as one of Australia’s most dynamic tech hotspots.”

“Tech Council research has shown that south-east Queensland is one of the fastest growing areas for tech jobs in Australia, with five of the top 10 regions for tech jobs growth.”
